.: Cosa è CoSA? What is CoSA?
CoSA is our new webpage devoted to a brand new area of research that combines different branches of mathematics, from combinatorics to computer algebra and category theory, with the study of social networks and systems.
As we will be adding new content to this page, please be patient. Meanwhile, if you want to contact us, you can send us an email at cosa@tlc185.com
Please use the navigation bar on the left to browse our webpages.

.: Who are we?
Our group consists of people who work in different fields of mathematics and social sciences. Click here to get to know our team members. We have a page containing our latest publications here We also have a page containing some material and our latest results (restricted access). Our affiliation with the TLC185 webpages marks our close connection to the research group CoAlA of which some of our members are also a part, and CoCoA, our favorite computer algebra system.

.: What do we do?
We have just started to investigate possible applications of the theory of hypegraphs and simplicial complexes, together with the use of computational algebra, to model possible ways in which humans interact in different situations and at different level (personal, professional...). For an intrduction to our approach, please read our survey article Simplicial models of social aggregation I (arXiv link). On our results page you will find some of our other publications if you want to learn more. Our latest reserach also tries to explore the possibility of modeling using category theory and the concepts of distances, tomography, and energy levels.

.: Where are we?
Keep track of where you can find us. We work in different locations around the world, but sometimes you can find us at some seminars and conferences. Do you want to participate to a seminar with us? Do you want to invite us to give a talk at your institution? Or maybe, you are just curious to find out where we have been invited in the past. Go have a look here.

.: Our material
We keep our files and latest production in a restricted-access area. Click on the corresponding link on the navigation bar on the left called :Material or just click HERE.
ATTENTION: you will be asked for a username and a password. These are NOT the same personal username and password that you use for the forum on TLC185. However, if you forgot them, you can still access the forum and you will find the username and the password for this site in a thread marked as "sticky" (this is secure because only memebrs of the CoSA group have access to the relative CoSA forum!). Alternatively, contact Alberto to have them sent to you.

Selected external links will be provided soon. Let us know if you want to be added.
